… is another great way to engage a dog, especially one as energetic and hyperactive as Kate.

It’s a fantastic sport where the dog learns to overcome obstacles in a playful way, while strengthening the bond between dog and owner. Although the Afghan Hound isn’t a typical breed for agility, watching one gracefully navigate the hurdles with harmonious movement and elegance is truly a rewarding experience. To my satisfaction, Kate is always physically and mentally exhausted after training, so when we return home, she lies down and sleeps for the rest of the afternoon. :-)

…je další možností, jak zaměstnat chrta, zvláště tak ztřeštěného a hyperaktivního, jako je Kate.

Je to skvělý sport, při kterém se pes hravou formou učí překonávat na povel nejrůznější překážky a upevňuje se tak vztah mezi psem a pánem. Afgán není zrovna typické plemeno pro tento sport, ale dívat se na afgána, s jakou ladností pohybu a elegancí překonává překážky, je zážitek. Kate je navíc k mé naprosté spokojenosti po výcviku unavená jak fyzicky, tak i psychicky, takže když přijdeme domů, lehne a prospí celé odpoledne :-)

We were excited about this show because we were going to meet Kate’s breeder and her siblings. We were better prepared than we were in Ostrava, and Kate did quite well, both running and standing. However, her sister Cuba Libre took first place, but it was a close competition.

Na tuto výstavu jsme se těšili, protože jsme se tam setkali s chovatelkou Kate a jejími sourozenci. Taky jsme byli lépe připraveni než v Ostravě, Kate celkem pěkně běhala i stála. Prvenství si odnesla o fous její sestra Cuba Libre.
